Schedule your Mac to start up before you arrive to work.
It is possible to schedule your Mac to switch ti self on (or even shut down) at specific times. You may do that if you want your Mac to turn on prior to when you arrive at work or alternatively turns off incase you forget it.
Here is how to do it:
1. Choose Apple menu and select System Preferences and click on Energy Saver .
2. Open Energy Saver preferences. Click on Schedule , then choose the options you wish to use .
3. To schedule a startup for your Mac , choose the “Start up or wake” checkbox .
Select a day or group of days from the pop-up menu , then input the time you would like it to start up .
To schedule a shutdown time for your Mac. Choose the checkbox and choose the appropriate option from the pop-up menu. Select a day or group of days from the pop-up menu, and then insert a time .
Remember: Your Mac needs to be awake , and you needs to be logged in for it to shut down at the scheduled time. If you are not logged in or your Mac is in sleep moude, is not going to shut down at the scheduled time.
