Let’s say your writing a paper for college on your Mac, and you stumble upon an unfamiliar word. Not a problem!
Whether you’re in Safari, Pages or you’re reading a PDF file – there is a very simple way to get the definition of the unknown word.
1) Hover with your cursor over the word and right-click.
2) Click on the “Look Up” option.
3) Mac OS X will open up the Dictionary and find the meaning of the unknown word for you.
If you’re using a MacBook, there’s even a simpler way. Just put your cursor over the word, perform a three-finger tap on your trackpad, and the definition window should pop up right away.
