How to change the default browser in Mac OS X

In case you’re tired of having Safari popping up every time you click on a link somewhere, maybe you should change the default browser to Chrome or Firefox.

The whole process is really easy in Mac OS X.

1)   First open Safari, click on the “Safari” at the top-left part of the screen, and then select “Preferences.”

2)   Go to the “General” tab. Click on the drop down menu next to “Default web browser,” and select your new default browser. Note that some applications that are not web browsers may appear in the list as well, so be careful when selecting the new browser.

3)   That’s it! Just close the “Preferences” menu, and you’re done.
