Do you want to extend the battery life of your iPhone 6/6 Plus with the case? We decided to make a collection of 8 best iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus cases, that will hopefully help you find the right case.
Spigen Bumper Clear Case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
This case is a great choice for all bumper-style case fans. The back panel of the case is made out of clear plastic so the whole backside of your iPhone will be revealed including that shiny Apple logo. The bumper portion of the case will protect your screen, as well as the protruding camera found on the new iPhones. There are many color options for the bumper part of the case including clear, black, gold, green, gunmetal and more. Keep in mind that no matter which color option you choose, the back panel will remain clear.
Spigen makes this case both for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus. It’s a great low profile case for people who want to keep the design of their iPhone pretty much intact, while still providing scratch protection for the screen and the back of your device. Since the case is so thin, you won’t have any problems connecting your lightning cable or any type of headphones. The case retails for about $25, but it can be often found for about $10-$15, and it’s currently the number one seller on websites like Amazon.( Click here to find the product on Amazon.)
Apple’s Leather Case for iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus
This case probably isn’t the most budget friendly option (price is about $45 for the iPhone 6 and $50 for the iPhone 6 Plus), but it feels very premium. Since it comes straight from Apple it will fit your iPhone 6 or 6 Plus perfectly. It is slightly different from most other cases in a sense that the bottom of your iPhone remains completely open, which assures easy access to the headphone jack and lightning port. While Apple uses premium leather that feels luxurious, keep in mind that this is still leather and it’s not going to stay perfectly clean and new looking forever. Thin form factor is great if you want a case that is not going to add a lot of bulk to your iPhone, yet protect the back and the protruding camera. Another great thing about this case is the fact that edges around the screen are slightly raised, which means the phone’s screen is not going to touch the surface when you place it on the table screen-first. It also adds a nice grip to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, which are known to be a bit slippery without the case.
OtterBox Defender Case iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus
If you’re constantly dropping your phones and want to protect your newly acquired iPhone the best you can then look no further than the OtterBox Defender case. It is a very robust case that will protect your iPhone from basically every fall. Not only that, but you’ll be completely safe from scratches, dust, debris and liquid drops. Of course, Touch ID remains exposed on the front so you can continue to use your fingerprint to authenticate. Back panels leave the camera and flash exposed, as well as the Apple logo. Included with the case is a belt-clip holster, which doubles as a stand for easy media viewing. OtterBox Defender is available for both the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus so make sure you get the right size for your handset. There are plenty of color options, besides the regular all black and white versions. With a retail price of about $50 and $60 for the iPhone 6 Plus at Amazon, it’s definitely among the most expensive plastic cases, but with OtterBox Defender you basically don’t ever have to worry about the safety of your device.
Trianium 3100mAh iPhone 6 Battery Case
The biggest problem with most smartphones nowadays is unimpressive battery life. While iPhone 6 Plus actually has a pretty decent battery that will allow even the most hardcore users to make it through the day, the battery on the iPhone 6 is not as good unfortunately.
If you believe the battery on your iPhone 6 doesn’t last for very long, we might have a perfect solution for you. The Trianium iPhone 6 Battery case features a 3100mAh Li-polymer battery, which can easily double your battery life on the iPhone 6. This means you’ll have additional 14 hours of talk time or 10 hours of web browsing. Charging the case is not the problem, as you never have to take it off, because both the iPhone and the case will charge simultaneously using the provided microUSB cable. Of course, you don’t even need to remove the case when you want to sync your iPhone with iTunes. On the back of the case you’ll notice the LED battery level indicator, which lets you know how much power you have left.
The great thing about this product is that it not only provides additional battery life but it also protects your iPhone 6 from scratches, thanks to a 1.2 mm raised edge all around the screen. The rubbery finish is very pleasant to the touch and allows for a much better grip than when using a naked iPhone 6. Supplied with the case is a USB to microUSB cable that you can use for charging, along with a headphone extension adapter, which you can use in case your headphone plug is too large to fit the hole at the bottom of this case.
The case retails for about $99 (but you can often find it for around $50 at Amazon). At that price you probably won’t find a better battery case that is so well built, thin and offers good protection.
Speck CandyShell Grip Case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
Next case on our list is the Speck CandyShell Grip case and like the name implies this case is very “grippy.” As most people who either have or tried using the iPhone 6/6 Plus are aware – one of the biggest problems with the iPhone 6’s curvy design is that it’s very slippery, which means you can easily drop your expensive device, and this case without the doubt fixes that problem. It might not be the sleekest looking case out there, but its very solid. There’s great grip around the edges, which in turn lets you hit the volume controls and power button without any hassle. The cutout for the headphone jack isn’t very deep, which means you’ll be able to basically any headphone cable without a problem.
So, if being slippery is one of the biggest complaints you have about the iPhone 6 design, Speck CandyShell Grip case is a great way to fix that problem, without adding too much bulk (case only adds about 0.16 inches). The case retails for about $35 for the iPhone 6 and $40 for the iPhone 6 Plus, but you can often pick it up with a discount from Amazon. There are plenty of color combinations available including the combination of white and black, black and slate gray, as well as more flashy color combinations like pink/blue and green/orange.
Spigen Neo Hybrid Metal Case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
If you’re looking for solid overall case with an aluminum frame that is not going to set you back a lot, then definitely check out Spigen Neo Hybrid Metal. This case is a looker and comes in many different color combinations. It’s a two-piece design, starting with a TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) housing as a base for shock absorption and that pairs with aluminum frame that will help protect the edges and corners. Volume buttons are nice and easy to access; however, you do have to reach a little bit to hit the mute switch. Cutouts for the camera, flash and Apple logo on the back, as well as cutouts on the bottom ports are nice and clean, but do take note that the lightning port and the headphone jack are a bit deep, so keep that in mind if you’re using a dock or a specific set of headphones.
Spigen Neo Hybrid Metal case is available both for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus at the same price. It retails for $35, but you can get it on Amazon for about $22 at the moment.
Luvvitt Clear Grip Case for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
Next up on the list is the Luvvitt Clear Grip, which retails for about $30, but currently comes at less than $10 on Amazon. There are not a lot of colors to choose from (clear, transparent black, transparent pink), but it’s another great option that will add some serious grip to your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. What we really like about this case is the extra protection you get around the corners, so if you’re prone to dropping your phone a lot and want a case that won’t break the bank – but is still pretty solid and unique looking – this is a pretty decent option.
Protective lip goes above the screen level, which means your screen will be protected as well, especially when the device is placed on the table face-first. The case offers very easy access to all the buttons and ports, meaning that you won’t have any trouble connecting your earphones or headphones. If you are looking for an inexpensive iPhone 6 case that will add grip to your device, then look no further than Luvvitt Clear Grip.
Spigen Premium Wallet S Case with Flip Cover for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
Last up on the list is another case from Spigen. Just like its name implies this is a wallet case for the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. Unlike the Apple’s very own leather case, this is synthetic leather, which means that it won’t be nearly as expensive. Actually, as of right now, you can pick it up for about $16 on Amazon (retail price is about $30). The case itself is very slim considering that it can hold cards and cash, and appears to be designed to minimize the bulk.
We are all familiar with the recently introduced Apple Pay feature that allows users to pay using their iPhone, however, not everyone has adopted it yet and it’s still not the time to ditch the good old plastic credit cards. There are three slots that you can use for credit cards, IDs, and an opening in the back so you can throw in some cash as well. Keep in mind that if you do pick up this case, you need to follow Spigen’s instructions on a correct way to insert the cards. There is a magnetic lock on the case, so you need to pay attention and insert your card with the magnetic strip in the slot closest to the phone. If you do it the other way, you run a risk of breaking your card, which can be quite a hassle.
This case from Spigen also has one more trick up its sleeve – it doubles as kickstand. All you do is bring the iPhone out, flip back the magnet, and it’s ready to go. You can kick back, relax, and enjoy your favorite movie, TV show or YouTube. Good thing to know is that you can actually adjust the viewing angles according to your needs. So, if you’re looking for a good wallet case for your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus, this might be the one for you.
